Environmental, Health, Safety, and
Sustainable Development Policy

AgroFresh Inc. is a leading expert in ethylene management and its benefits to tree and vine fruit, vegetables, flowers, and agronomic crops.  As a wholly owned subsidiary of Rohm and Haas Company, our environmental, health, safety, security, and sustainable development values are of utmost importance.

Our Guiding Principles are:

1. We will strive to ensure that our business, processes, and products will consider the needs of the present global community and the impact the designs will have on future generations' ability to meet their needs.  We will incorporate sustainability considerations into our business decisions.

2. We will continuously review and improve our worldwide operations, processes, and products; and work toward improving their safety and making them free of adverse environmental, health, safety, and security impacts for all of our stakeholders.

3. We will meet or exceed all applicable laws, regulations, and Rohm and Haas Company standards; and are committed to comply with global performance improvement initiatives such as Responsible Care®.  Our goals are to achieve continual improvements in our Environmental, Health, Safety, Security, and Sustainable Development performance.

4. We will provide our employees with a safe workplace, and ensure that our communities and other stakeholders understand our uncompromising commitment to safe and secure operations and products.  Our goals are zero incidents, injuries, and illnesses.

5. We will strive to prevent or reduce pollution from emissions, discharges, and wastes; and will promote resource conservation throughout the life cycle of our products.

6. We will communicate, listen, and be responsive to our employees, contractors, suppliers, customers, neighbors, governments, and other stakeholders; and we will share information concerning potential hazards resulting from our operations or our products.

7. We will ensure that standards, procedures, and adequate resources are in place to implement the principles described in this policy.

Every employee and contractor is responsible for compliance with these principles and policy.
